Artistic Savant was my first major undertaking as a filmmaker. This documentary explores the common struggles we all have with our creativity, talent and expectations through the struggles of one very talented artist, Sean Joyce. From 2010-2014 Filmmaker Michael Puglisi captured video testimonials delving deep into a very dark period for Sean Joyce as vents his inner most frustrations and artistic visions. As a former Matte painter for Lucasfilm and having a successful career and impressive resume of work, this story develops into following Sean on his journey to find success once again. With a runtime of 40min this explorational documentary offers clarity for those who wish to make a business from their masterful talents.
